I recently ran a diagnostic on my printer because it wasn't connecting through USB to my tablet to square.
On one of the line items it says data timeout: invalid
Here's a picture of the printout: https://ibb.co/Y86HVpG
Bottom line is two different devices do not recognize the printer and I do not have a different cord to determine if the cord is at fault
Thank you
Update: I've got it to recognize my Android phone. However, when I get to the following screen
It will not let me select the printer. What am I doing wrong?
Thank you

I am not sure which Square Pos you are using or which Hardware since each is a little different. Which could be why you are not getting any help. Also you did not mention if your Printer was connected and just stopped working since you ran a Diagnostic on the printer.
Helpful Items we would need:
Here is a GENERAL video on how to setup a Printer with Square. Each type of hardware has more specific videos you can find on YouTube. https://youtu.be/ZKKhMju1LYE
I'm using square for Android on a Samsung tablet. And I'm using a Google pixel 6 phone
My printer is a star TSP100iiiu
Obviously I use the same port on the tablet for charging and the printer.
Yesterday when I unplugged the power cord to plug in the printer, it no longer recognizd the printer.
I am using square software 6.19 from the Google Play store
Today I have tried using a different cord and I'm getting the same results: the printer just keeps disconnecting and reconnecting on the tablet and on my phone it recognizes the printer but I cannot select it when I'm setting up a print station.

Since you are stating It no Longer recognizes the Printer I am assuming you had this working before.
So it sounds like your Square Version has updated and caused the connection issue. I do not use android devices with an OTG adapter because I have read in these forums they are hit and miss on which ones work and for how long. I am hard enough on charging ports on my android phones and tablets that I try not to plug them in and out more than I have to and use the wireless chargers as much as possible. As for the Google Pixel never had one of them and do not know anything about them. I got the star printer that I can have hooked up to a Network, USB and Bluetooth so I can hookup to it multiple ways. As far as I know Square does not Support connecting through OTG adapters.
I would try connecting the Printer to a computer and see if it works then. At least you can see if the printer works or not. This at least can start to find the problem. Eliminate one thing at a time.
See if anything else can connect to your tablet or your Pixel through the OTG to see if the OTG is still working properly.
Square does not let you go back to a previous version of Square.
All I can suggest after the above is to try setting up your printer again through Square on your Tablet and make sure it is not setup on your Tablet through its OS. I know with Square on an Ipad I need to uninstall my Card reader through Ipads OS and In Square Software. Then to install it again I install it only through Square and it populates it into Ipads OS. Now Square did just do an update recently that had me lose my Star printer too. I had to uninstall it and reinstall it and it was on my network. On my network it showed the IP address and other devices could find it and print to it but not my 1 Square Stand out of 2 stands. I went through the installation process and it could not find it even when I typed in the correct IP address. Finally I exited Square Completely and looked for an update, It updated then I was able to Find the printer and it worked. The printer was working a half hour before this with No issues. I have no idea what happened. You may need to uninstall Square on your Tablet then Reinstall it and check for an update Before trying to install the printer again.
Thank you. I will give all of that information a try. If I find a solution to anything that you suggested, I will post it back here.
