Invoices app saying printer issue

I have been using the iPhone Invoices app since it’s debut. All of a sudden over the last week it started saying “Printer Issue” up at the top where normally it would say if it’s connected to a card reader.
When clicking up there with my finger it opens up a dialog box saying that Square needs access to my local network.

Here’s the thing, I have never used a printer and I have no desire to, I don’t even own one. I also would prefer not to connect something to my local network if there’s no reason to, which there isn’t in this case. 
So my two questions are this: why did this suddenly start happening out of the blue with no interaction from me? And how do I fix it?

It could have been an Update from Square.  Other businesses that use Printers for Receipts or for Tickets etc. may need to know that there is No Printer connected to let them know of a Problem with their Printer before needing it.  Which Square engineers may think that everyone with an Invoice wants to print it, even though to save Trees a PDF email is better.  I do that a lot and use 2 screens to view a pdf invoice that I received without printing it.  I am not sure if you can go into you settings and just tell the app you have no printer or not.  If not you may need to put in an Ideate to be able to toggle this warning on/off.  You can do that here: https://www.sellercommunity.com/t5/Ideate/ct-p/Ideate

This does seem odd and could possibly be a glitchy app issue. I have reached out to the Square Invoices App Team to report this issue. I'll be sure to follow up with you here once I've heard back from them.

In this case, @Candlestore, we wouldn't want to post this on the Ideate Board since we haven't confirmed whether or not this is expected behavior yet. We should only utilize the Ideate Board to request features that are not currently available through Square. Appreciate you jumping in to lend a hand here, regardless! 🙏
