Hi @1987cshair. I did a little digging through help and through the Customer Directory. It looks like that once a customer is unsubscribed from text messages — whether you do it or they do it — it is a permanent action and can not be undone. I went through the unsubscribe SMS action on my customer entry and that was the message I received — that can not be undone.
I’m betting that this is because that is what federal communications regulations require. Once a customer says don’t bother me, even if it was a mistake, we can’t bother them. Having said that, you can try reaching out to the Customer Success Team here and seeing if they have a suggestion. But I wouldn’t hold my breath. This is one of those areas where customers need to think before they act because we, as sellers, have a strict set of guidelines that we are required to follow regarding SMS messaging.
I hope Square Customer Success can help you, and that I’m just missing something.
