Invoice mark as paid

A customer has paid an invoice by direct bank transfer (outside of Square)

When I try to mark the invoice as "Paid", the changes are not saved. I have looked at the online help, but this is not clear.

Thanks, @StephenClose - it looks like 000141 can be closed on Google Chrome - would you be able to try that?

It looks like it might be a browser issue, specifically with Firefox, I've asked our team to take a look.

Hi @StephenClose, thanks for posting.

I'd be happy to take a closer look at this, but I would need additional information first. Is this happening for one invoice in particular, or different invoices ? Did you mark the invoice as paid on your Dashboard or on the Invoices app ? If you've tried marking it as paid on the Dashboard, could you try doing it from the app - and vice versa.

To make sure all bases are covered, could you also perform some browser and app troubleshooting steps:

Let me know how you get on.

@Lou8

I had the problem with this on the Dashboard. There is an option under ... to "Mark Invoice as Paid" but the form was greyed out and could not be saved.

I ended up cancelling the Invoice, to confirm to the customer that their (bank transfer) payment had actually been received.

Have you had this issue with other invoices as well ? If so would you be able to share a screenshot of the greyed out form.

Did you try marking it as paid on the Invoices app instead of the Dashboard ?

@Lou8I have not had this problem before, as previous invoices were paid through Square.

I have now created a copy invoice as a dummy and have the same problem in the Dashboard. The More option 'Mark as Paid' just brings up a greyed out form, see belowInvoice Mark as Paid formInvoice Mark as Paid form

Thanks for letting us know @StephenClose - could you send me these invoice numbers - feel free to send a private message.

I just tested on my end and didn't run into this problem.

Can you confirm also which browser you are using and which payment method you are selecting? I assume 'Other' but just to be sure. Thanks.

The cancelled invoice was 000139. The copy invoice is number 000141 and assigned to a dummy customer using my own email address.

I am using Firefox version 115.12 browser for my Dashboard

I am unable to select any payment method, as the form is greyed out. I only have the option to 'Save', which exits the form without applying a change to the invoice. This still shows as 'Unpaid'

Hi @StephenClose

thanks for confirming - I'm glad to hear the feature is working as expected on Google Chrome !

It looks like the issue lies with Firefox. Could you try the following troubleshooting steps on this browser:

  • Make sure that your browser is up-to-date, by searching the Internet for the current version of your browser.

  • Clear the cache on your browser. Instructions for clearing your cache will vary depending on your browser. Accessing the Help menu on your browser should allow you to locate step-by-step instructions.
