Hello - i need help.
After a fraud attempt, when i call the call center, they ask be all sort of questions. Date of birth and full address. Is there a place once i am inside my account to see those just in case they have been wrongly typed in ? my phone number and my email i can see in my account. but i need to validate the DOB and my address as it might be the place where there is an error.
Thanks
Dan
Hi Dan. Sorry to hear about the attempted fraud, but happy to hear it was caught. Now....
Are you saying that you give the support person what you think is the DOB and address and they say it is wrong? If so, then you have hit a wall. Like all software providers, Square is not going to put account verification information where a possible fraudster could find it because, if they did, you would be open to more fraud if say your DOB fell into the wrong hands. Not even the support person knows the actual DOB. They just type in what you say and the algorithm says it is correct or it is not. Anyway, if you have run into this impasse, let me know and I'll flag your thread so the Square moderators here can pass it on to the correct folks. There is probably a way they can verify you besides the ones you mentioned, but it wouldn't be something they advertise.

Hello - you are quite right. We don't have access to this. I don't know when you move as the address would change. But i understand. As it turns out my info was ok, it was the agent that did not enter it correctly as i call back and with a french agent and then i pass with flying colors.
Now the fraud scenario was that the thief got access to my account, pass trx with most likely, fraudulent card, and then used the instant transfert to insert his credit card to get the cash ! i am suprised that they don't ask a validation as when i try to change it it ask to send a SMS !!??? Square should permit people to disable the instant transfert so if the cash sit on my square account for a day or two and it will be send out only to my bank account, then it would be more secure.
I have yet to hear back from Square on the matter as they could ask a charge back on that account ! if they (SQUARE) were able to take mondey from my bank account, they should be able to take it back from the credit card !
