I have set up a Square account but was not approved to accept credit cards. The first 2 attempts were the day I filed for EIN but the 3rd was weeks after and now I'm unable to try again

Welcome to the Sellers community forumn.

My suggestion is to call Customer support, their number is in my signature line.

Here in the forum we are mostly other Square users helping others out so we have no access to your records or why this has happened.  My reasoning is my own on why this may have happened, which is You applied for EIN on the same day you applied for Square, and therefor were rejected and continued to try and kept getting Rejected.  Then you waited but Square may have Flagged your EIN number as a fake number and will not let you procedee.  So my recomendation is to call Square Support, explain this to them and maybe they can either unlock your account to set it up OR explain what other documents your have to send in to prove this is a real account.
