#HumanCurveballs: Share your business moments with us!

Hello Seller Community!

At Square, we can help you with everything. Almost. We can provide you with all the tools you need to run your business, from managing your online store and inventory to simply taking a payment. We do know there’s a touch of human magic involved too, and that’s where we can’t help but you, as business owners, are the experts.

We want to celebrate all the wonderfully unique things that happen day to day. Maybe it’s a hilarious memorable experience with a customer, or something wonderfully unique that makes all those late nights counting inventory worth it. It could be apologising to a customer that you don’t stock flowers because you’re a bookshop, or having to politely reject your business partner’s logo design.

Hit reply and share those moments with us in this threads or with @SquareUK on Instagram and Twitter using #HumanCurveballs!

Not a story from our current business venture - but I used to be a Mobile DJ, over that period of time I lost count of the amount of weird and wonderful requests you get at each event which sometimes made the night or caused a few moments of awkwardness, but the most memorable was at a Wedding, being approached by the brides father (quite late in the evening when he was very much under the influence of too much alcohol) to play Tom Jones - "You Can Leave Your Hat On" to which he stripped down to his birthday suit, just leaving his top hat. To finish it off he ended up face down on the floor passed out from the effects of his aforementioned over indulgence of beer. Needless to say lots of red faces from his daughter and family members.... whilst i slowly hid behind the booth. whilst they tried to redress him and take him up to the hotel room.... That image will forever be engrained in my mind.......

Oh my, that's quite a tale @signature_home — if I was a guest, I don't think I'd ever forget that wedding!

My wife, who’s business it is, dyes yarn and once had a request from a lady that had been sitting in a car wash and, watching the soap suds on her windscreen, took a photo and sent it to her to reproduce in yarn. She duly did and we called it ‘Trapped in a Car Wash’.

Wow, that's an amazing name for the yarn and I'd love to see how it looks @tonydow — your wife sounds like a very talented and creative person!
