How to reserve equipment for appointments

I own a medical spa, and multiple staff provide the same services. Certain appointments require devices (microneedling, IPL, etc). How can I make sure that the same service can’t be booked by two different providers at the same appointment time?

Welcome to the Seller Community @NurseHeather 😊.

 

To avoid double booking services that use the same devices, I would recommend utilizing our Resource functionality. A Resource is tied to a service and you can also add multiple resources to one service. This means that when a customer books an appointment, they book both the service and the relevant resources. Any other service using the same resources won't be available for booking during that time. 

 

To create a resource, log in to your Square Dashboard:

  1. Navigate to Items, then Resources.
  2. Choose a name (i.e. massage room) and an optional description.
  3. If you have multiple locations, select the appropriate business location.
  4. Select Save to create your resource.
  5. Go to Services and click on the service you'd like to apply the resource.
  6. Toggle on Resources and select the Assigned Resources.
  7. Save.
