I frequently set up at festivals and markets and I do custom art. When a customer orders at the booth I have to manually add them and request their address to ship the custom art to. Is there away to ALWAYS request addresses for a specific item?
Use Google Forms and create a Question form. Have all the questions setup to match what you need for your needs and to enter into Square Customers.
Here is a short one I just created : Customer Intake Questions
When someone responds Google Sheets puts their answers in a Spreedsheet. With this spreedsheet you can then Upload the customers info to Square Customers. Then once you have the Link you could go to a Free QR generator, enter the webaddress of your Form and print QR codes that customers can Scan with a cell phone and answer in store or at home.
So like have the QR state to get added to our Mailing list etc, scan the QR code and enter your information.
So go here to get Google Forms : https://www.google.com/forms/about/
Create a Form
Then when you are done, get the shortcut link to the Form you want the link for. Copy the Web address.
Then open a Free QR generator like QR code Monkey : https://www.qrcode-monkey.com/
Make sure the Top bar type of QR code is URL, Paste your Forms URL , Click create URL, Then download the QR code to print on a Business card or anything else you like.
The Top one will just take you to the Google Forms page, the bottom one takes you to the Form I just created.
If the customer is having art shipped to them and they paid for it add a Question to the form Receipt Number something like #Sy57. If you type that into Square > Transactions it will pull up a receipt. So on a Phone tap Transactions in your Square App type in Sy57 for example and a transaction would pop up, If your Square account made that transaction. Now the Sy57 is made up but you should be able to try it with a receipt you have from Square. If you need to know which Item(s) need to be shipped or to make sure they paid. 🙂
The thing I like about the QR code thing is They enter the Data, no typing mistakes and they can do it when they are in the car and your helping the next customer. They can do most of it while your ringing up their items and just need to enter the 4 character code br Recit number then they are in your Spreedsheet to be able upload to Square Customers.
