Hello! I am a small art business. I have a lot of variety and recently started offering clothing options using print on demand with printful.
However, this past weekend I ran into a major issue. Because the name of some of these items are similar to other items I sell in person, when I try to search my inventory on the POS I am having to scroll through a ton of items that I do not sell in person.
Example:
Axolotl with a Knife Sticker (sold in person and online)
Axolotl with a Knife T-Shirt, Sweater, Notebook, Coaster, Tank-top, Shorts, Hat, Hoodie, Bag, Towel, etc etc etc (sold ONLY online)
When I am in person, I search "axolotl" but it brings up all of the above items (and the sticker is usually at the bottom) which means I have to either type in the whole title (which takes too long when I'm trying to enter a lot of items) or I have to scroll and either A) hope I don't accidentally click on something wrong, and B) scroll forever to get to the actual item I want (which is just as bad as typing it all in by hand).
Is there a way to hide items from the POS system so I don't see them when searching for an item? Thanks!

At this time, there isn't a feature that would allow you to hide items from Point of Sale. This is a good idea. In order to appropriately send these to our product teams we’d love it if you'd submit this request on our Ideate page for Square Point of Sale. Our team monitors these boards and we triage them to measure needs. You can search the boards to see if this has been requested before and add your use case if so!

Do you know if there's a way to sync inventory to a secondary shop? That would be a decent workaround if this feature won't be available for a while.
Yeah, you can set up a second location in Square and assign the Online Store Items to it. Once that location is created, you will then be able to set up a brand new Square Online site for this location. By doing this, you will have a location for your brick-and-mortar and a second location for Online Sales.
