How to get printed recepits with the square reader second generation

I'm just wondering if it is possible to get printed recepits with the square reader second generation, or if I need to get a handheld or a different system.

@addisonn Welcome to the community. Yes, it is possible to provide printed receipts with the Square Reader (2nd Generation), but the reader itself does not print receipts. You’ll need to use it with the Square Point of Sale app on a compatible phone or tablet and pair a supported receipt printer(Possibly one of the approved Bluetooth printers would work with that setup). If you’re looking for an all-in-one device with a built-in printer, then a Square Handheld, Square Terminal, or Square Register may be a better fit. It really depends on whether you prefer a portable setup with a separate printer or an integrated device that can print receipts on its own.

*If you want a all in one solution the Square Terminal has a built in printer and is portable.

*If you want something newer I would go with the Square Handheld, it has a built in barcode scanner and camera if you need it.  With the handheld you would need to purchase separately a USB hub from Square and a printer. That is the setup we use.

*If you have a comparable iPad you could buy just the POS stand, it comes with the USB hub so you would just need to purchase the printer.

*If you don't have an iPad you can purchase a Square Register it is a POS register that has a screen facing you and a screen facing the customer, it comes with the USB hub also, you would still need to purchase a printer.
