How to fix a rate to your shipping

Hi everyone,

Our online store is located in Montreal and we ship over Quebec area.

I can't find a good rate between Canada Post (based on weight, size, and distance) and Square (based on weight, does not take into account the size of the package, and only takes into account by region: ex: Quebec! It's a very, very large territory). So I have to make an average between the postal fees for Montreal and for a city 200 kms away. This makes delivery expensive for Montreal buyers...

I use this tool of Poste Canada to set the price grid, but since Square doesn't have the same criteria, on some packages we charge high postal fees, on others our postal fees are below what we actually pay to Canada Post.

How do you set up your postal fees according to that?

Thank you for helping me!

Hey @Mourierc I'm really sorry to hear the frustration regarding your shipping features. I know you tried a few things, so I'm sorry if these suggestions seem redundant, but you can try setting the box size per item again. It’s not perfect because only one box size (the largest based on items in checkout) will show for the rate. You can also use Real Time Shipping with CA Post and this should show the appropriate rate based on the ship-to address and the ZIP code associated.
