How to cancel free trial in 2025?

I googled how to cancel your 30 day free square plus trial and the steps say to unsubscribe. However, when I try I only got the option to switch to square free. I want to be sure I'm not being charged anything until I decide to reactivate in the future. Is being in square free the same as canceling my free trial?

@ADTArtistry Unsubscribing from a paid tier is exactly the same as switching to a free tier.  You'll still have all of the functionality of the free tier, but none of the functions is the paid tiers.  You won't be charged for a free service.  Also, you won't be able to have a 30-day trial on that account any longer.

@bloomcove You don’t need to unsubscribe from free subscription since you aren’t being charged anything. But if you are asking how to unsubscribe after a free trial turned into a paid tier, go to your web dashboard > Setting > Account and settings > pricing and subscriptions. Reviews your current subscriptions. Click “manage” beside the ones you don’t want any longer. You can cancel those or pause them there.
