How do we add a note in the line item when square redirects us to create a unit?

We have used square for the past 6 years and never have had this issue until currently. When creating an invoice, square will not allow us to add a note in the line item. When we try to click on the note section, it takes us to the "create a unit" like oz or lb. Anyone else have this problem?

Facing a similar problem since the morning. However, I noticed if you move your mouse pointer around the notes box, there is a small section (on the right) where it changes to a text pointer allowing you to click to add text.

what version of invoices are you using.

What we do is enter the note like we're making a new item- we just don't associate any $ amount with it. 

Below I created a line that says "please wrap with cardboard instead of plastic per customer request" 

We often add lines like this when we are fulfilling special requests as there is no other way to memorialize these in Square

Square engineers fixed the problem this morning, so it has been resolved. I guess it was a wide-spread issue for many businesses.
