Hey there @Assong.  Welcome to the Seller Community.  I’m guessing by your statement “I’m an individual and not a company” that you are running some sort of business as a sole proprietor and that you will be reporting your payments as business income.  If that is not the case — if you are NOT a business at all — then you can’t use Square.  Square is ONLY for business-related transactions, not personal.

Otherwise, you would just go to squareup.com and create a new Square account to.  When you do this, you will have to enter your social security number as well as other information that Square needs to verify your identity and your eligibility to open a new account, as required by law.  After that, you will need to download one of the Square POS apps (I’d recommend the regular Square POS app), get a card reader of some kind and you’ll be good to go.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
