We are a members club with drink prices variable if you are a member or not. We have set variable prices. We would like to add inventory to mange stock but how can this be added to cover both the variable prices. Example can of coke $2 non member or $1 member. 20 cans in stock. I don’t want to add 10 cans to each item.
Hey @PSFC-
I think I understand your situation correctly.
It sounds like you need to be using item variations. This would mean you would create one item, let's call it soda. Then within the item soda, you create two variations, one for members, one for non-members. This way you can input that you have 20 soda cans, but 10 in each variation. This would prevent you from having to create two separate individual items, and adding 10 cans to each. Is this what you're looking for?
This article includes instructions on how to add a variation when creating an item. I hope this information is helpful. Thanks for posting n the Seller Community, and let me know if there's anything else I can answer for ya.
your understanding of the problem is correct. however we don't want to have 10 under each price variation (member and nonmember prices) we want there to be 20 which is reduced when either of those price variations are used. is this possible
thanks 🙂
I have the same problem... with drink in....and take away prices. we have 50+ items so if 2 lists are req.d for each it becomes very unweildy and prone to errors.
I will try the discount option mentioned below...will do $ not % as we like all our products to be round dollars and / or 50cent to avoid change hassles.
cheers regards Peter
Add a member discount option for the item. Then if someone is a member they are given the correct price from the one inventory pool
Hey @Ash-n-Danni,
There's no reason you can't do this - check here for more on creating discounts using Square and let me know if you're encountering any issues 🙂
