How do I add a photo to get help?

Hi, I'm a weebly user for a lot of years now and I've come to get some help on the age old question of blurry images and I can't even see how to add a photo to show you the quality thats needed.

I go to the insert media option and its got nowhere to add a pic! Instead I see "source" and all sorts of things not related to adding a pic. Getting a little frustrated here...Can someone help please?

Thanks.

Hey there @Lea-lea,

Thanks for reaching out with your questions and sorry to hear you're running into these issues when trying to upload an image to your post.

When you select 'Reply' on this thread, you will see a list of icons at the top of the text box. Select the camera icon to insert an image in your reply. Please be mindful to exclude any personal information in the screenshot you're wanting to share.

For tips related to the images displayed on your website, we've shared a few general guidelines below that may help to troubleshoot the issue you're seeing:

General Images

The best approach for images added to any page of your site is to use JPEGs that are no more than 1000 pixels on their longest side.

For high-quality images, we recommend using a photo hosting site made for photographers (e.g. Flickr.com) and embedding the images onto your site from there. We don’t design around larger, uncompressed, high-quality images because we need to host millions of images from millions of users. As a result, third-party image hosting can be a better way to make sure your image quality doesn’t go down.

Header, Banner, and Background Images

For images that are a part of your site design (e.g. header, banner, and background images), it’s best to use an image that’s around 2000 pixels wide and at least 1000 pixels high. This makes the image large enough to look good at full width on virtually any screen size.

Category Images

Category images should generally be at least 160 pixels on the shortest side and have a 4:3 aspect ratio.

Item Images

Item images should typically have a 1:1 aspect ratio, where 600x600 pixels is generally a good size. Any over a 641-pixel width will begin to zoom in on the photo.

If you have followed the above guidelines and are still experiencing issues, please let us know.
