How do I: Set a 10 lesson Class for 1 total payment?

I'm a private music teacher.

I invoice for 10 individual lessons (1 school term) at once.

The lessons are individual 1-on-1.

1. Should I use a Class or Appointment for this type of service?
2. Is there a invoicing option where the parent can pay for all 10 lessons at once?

Because you're interested in scheduling recurring one-on-one sessions, both the Class Booking and Appointment features can fulfil your needs. The primary distinction, as I see it, lies in the subscription cost. To access the Class Booking feature, you would need to upgrade to the Square Appointments Plus plan. However, if you're looking to set up recurring appointments for individuals, this capability is available on the free plan.

Currently, it's not possible to generate a single invoice for multiple appointments. If you wish to invoice your customer for these appointments, you have a couple of options. You can either send separate invoices for each session using the Square Appointments app during the checkout process. Alternatively, you could manually create an invoice encompassing the total cost of all 10 lessons and forward it to your customer. After the invoice is settled, you can record payments for each individual lesson by choosing the appointment in your calendar, clicking "Take Payment" and then selecting "Record cash, check, or other payment". This method ensures the appointment is marked as paid without causing duplicated transactions.
