I am trying to set up Square for my business in Australia, primarily to allow clients to use credit card payment, via a link on our website, to pay invoices.
Each time I go into the set-up menu to provide the basic information Square requires, the system asks for US information - specifically a US phone number, and an "Employee Identification Number", which are not relevant for Australian business, so I cannot move complete the first page of Set-up.
Is there a different, Australian, data input page? How can I access this to get started?
Hey there @Roundingmark.. I see you are US-based. Are you trying to do this on US soil using US servers? If so, I'm betting that is the issue. By chance, have you tried using a VPN to make it look like you are accessing Square servers from AU? I'm not sure it will work, but it's worth a try. And, if it doesn't, come back here and say so. I'll tag the Community moderators.
Also, you might try contacting Square Support. They should be working today.
