Have you successfully accepted payments with RFID wristbands at events?

We will be attending and selling at large festivals this summer and many of the venues are cashless with RFID wristbands as the only payment method.  Unfortunately, no one from Square Support has been able to answer this question definitively for me.  Has anyone done this before with the Square Register or Square Terminals?  The only articles on Support I can find are from 2017 and have mixed messaging.

Hey @AVTLLC - as far I can figure the answer is a no. 

The payments that can be processed within Square are NFC (this might be what the bands are) and for the main players like visa etc. 

The venue is likely using their own pre paid system where they are keeping their own database of information for the payments (pre paid or settled later). You'll need to use their system for taking the payment. 

If you're also using your Square kit mark the sale as "other" and you'll be able to run a report to make sure you're getting the value from them you expect!

Echoing the information @Sam_400º  provided. 

If the RFID band can read the NFC payments, then theoretically the payments are able to be processed through Square. 

All in all, this is untested - so I cannot guarantee payments will go through without a hitch.
