Yesterday I closed with an amount of $684.08 in sales. When I received end of the day sales email it had a different number by roughly $100 less than that.
Has your sales number changed like that? What was it?
Did you process any returns that day?
Do you have a Square loan?
With a difference of $100 it might be worth taking the hour or 2 to add up your transactions yesterday and deduct Square's processing fee.
Depending on how you have your "end of day" set up the last $100 in transactions might be on today's report/transfer?
Just speculating here, those are the only reasons I could see for the discrepancy.
Along with what @PartyManiaMD said, make sure you are comparing apples to oranges also. One report might be your Gross sales with Cash sales included and the other amount might just be for Credit Card sales or vice versa. I did some testing on how the loyalty program would work with an automatic discount. This had my reporting way off for that day because sales had 26 candles sold at $20.99 each even though I refunded myself for them. My Gross sales were showing the sale of the 26 candles but not them being returned..... net sales showed the corrected amount.
