Thank you for the screenshots, @amystreasuresde. When you export files from the Square Dashboard, it will be downloaded directly on your computer, not sent by email.

After viewing your screenshots, it looks like you are working directly out of Google's system, not Square. Therefore, we recommend contacting Google directly for further assistance, as we are unable to troubleshoot what may be causing this error in their system.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Hey there @Kat8! While I'm not familiar with Google Merchant Center, I went ahead and did a quick Google Search for you and found this relevant article that might help you.

Hope that you can find a solution to your situation soon!

I exported my listings and filled in all the blanks, then uploaded it back to my square account.  Everything was correct but when I looked in my google merchant account, I found it's all screwed up.  Instead of the listing titles that are on my website, it's not just my brand name.

Hey @amystreasuresde,

Thanks for being a member of the Community.

It sounds like something may have gone wrong during the upload process, especially with how the product titles are being mapped. A few things to check:

  1. Review Your CSV File – Open the file you uploaded and make sure the product titles are correctly listed under the right column. Square may have replaced missing or incorrect data with the brand name.

  2. Check Google Merchant Center Settings – Google may be pulling data from the wrong field. Log into your Merchant Center and check how your feed is structured.

  3. Re-upload the File – Try exporting your listings again, double-check the fields, and re-upload to see if that resolves the issue.

If everything looks correct on Square but Google is still displaying only your brand name, you may need to troubleshoot how Google is mapping the data.

thanks for the information.  I tried exporting the file the other night but I never got the email link to download.  I tried again tonight and have the same problem.

@amystreasuresde, Are you exporting the file from Square or Google Merchant Center?

For the product approval issue, are you seeing any specific error messages or reasons for disapproval from Google?

A screenshot could help get a better idea of what’s happening.

I'm trying to export from square to see what that file looks like but for some reason I never got the email.  This was after I did the initial export last month and updated my listings.

I am getting error messages on my items on google, they're missing information.  What's odd here is that after I reuploaded that CSV file I updated last month, to square, I refreshed my merchant center account and the titles fixed themselves.  However many reverted back to my brand name.  I was going to post a screen cap initially but for some reason it wouldn't let me.  I might have simply ben logged out at the time I was replying.  I'll upload a screencap either tonight or another day.  Sorry it's been a long few weeks at work, I haven't been doing much with my website or merchant account as a result.
