I was on the phone with 5 different people from Square saying they needed to verify my identity and it's still under review. I gave them all the proof they needed. My client paid me $520 on Wednesday the 24th. They are still reviewing my documents. I have been with them for 10 years and neve had this issue. Its 930 pm on a Friday and I still don't have my money.
Hi @frustrated2long. Square initiates reviews for a variety of reasons. Since you don’t state what prompted this one (other than verifying YOUR identity which seems odd if you’ve been a Square customer for 10 years), it’s hard to know what to tell you. It’s entirely possible that the review wasn’t initiated by Square at all but was done so at the request of the cardholder’s bank. If so, once Square received “all the proof they needed” from you they would have passed that on and are now waiting for a decision from that bank. Like I said, not enough information at all.
I can say that these things usually take 3-5 business days, which you are right in the middle of. That’s not unusual at all if Square or someone else flagged the transaction as “unusual” for your business.
