Has Square helped you save money on marketing materials?

Hey everyone,

I noticed I was running low on some of my mirror hangers for some of the services I provided. Normally Vistaprint is my go-to. Ilve gone to them since opening my business for two main reasons. The first being the decently good discounts the provide throughout the year. The second being that they stand behind what they print and if it's a legitimate error, they ha e always fixed and replaced it.

As I was getting ready to order more print materials, I started to second guess myself if this was something that I really needed.

Sure it's only a few hundred bucks, but with Square invoicing, I can simply attach these as a .png to their invoice.

A few advantages of this come to.mind

1) Helps the environment (shipping, paper, waste etc)

2) People I assume just toss those out after a few days, I know I would (see #1)

3) Saves $$

Who doesn't like to save money as a business owner?

Since i use invoice , and haven't had the time to dive into marketing aspect of Square, are there any other ways that Square has aged you money by not having to buy something or pay for another service that isn't included with Square?

I'd like to hear it!

I like the idea of using a graphic image instead of something printed, and attaching an invoice in a nice solution. I could also see exploring the use of sending images in text message marketing (I think Square recently enabled the ability to send pics in Text marketing).

In some ways I still think (depending on product/industry) that a printed brochure, magnet, pen etc. is good to keep a company's name in the forefront. BUT with everything going up in price these days, it's necessary to second and triple think if an expense is really necessary. I find it beneficial to think about expenses as actually potential profit..."If I don't spend this $100 on brochures, then it's really like I MADE $100" LOL, well not exactly, but sometimes it helps me to think about it like that.

I agree with you there.  The two main things that I will always have printed are brochures (offers all my services, contact info, website in one) and business cards.  Business cards i can honestly say that I hate buying them.  Sure they are cheap when purchased in larger quantities 2500+, but with those I literally feel like they are being thrown away.

I hate buying promotional pens, but boy do i love getting them,   Something about a new pen gliding across paper almost makes me want to write a short novel...almost

We still have business cards and hangtags on our clothing, but we have a QR code that when people scan it takes them to a landing page that we update in a regular basis.  We also have banners hanging with the QR code on it I have  the QR code on our receipts, which costs us nothing since it is printed on a thermal printer. We also have digital media throughout our setup showing customers kids wearing our clothes and that has a QR code on every photo. I feel the same about business cards being a necessary evil, We have so many that asks for a business card. below is a couple photos of permenant signage to cut down on some of the expenses of buying  marketing materials.
