HELP... is there system issues?

Apparent system issues???

 

1.) Trying to add inventory to square register, and on some items when I ender (zero 0)I am getting an error message; ERROR ADDING STOCK Item edits were saved. Unable to add stock at this time. Please check your network connection and try again. 

 

However, it is only on some items and only when I enter zero for inventory. 

 

2.) Entered some new variants yesterday in back office and those variants are not showing up on register but shows up on ipad app. 

 

3.)  Back office is showing the sales from yesterday as todays sales. This is on the HOME screen.

 

I have checked and both the register and the ipad app are up to date.  

 

Please advise on issues.

Welcome back to the Community and thank you for posting your questions. 

 

I have a couple of follow up questions to make sure I understand the errors you're seeing. 

 

1. The "ERROR ADDING STOCK " that you're seeing, does that show up when you add any stock or just when you enter zero?

 

Is there a reasoning for adding zero to your inventory?

 

2. Have you tried logging out and back in of the register to show those changes?  How long have you had your Register? 

 

3. Are there any other dates showing incorrectly when it comes to your Sales Reports?

1) Error adding stock is any number.  But yes there would be a reason to add 0 to a stock.  That would be when you are tracking inventory and you do not have any in stock.  If it stays a negative because you do not put 0, then the online store would sell a item that you do not actually have in stock.

 

2) Yes, I have logged in and out the register. Even shut it down completely. I checked to make sure it had all updates as well and it does. I purchased the register brand new from square in April or May of 2020.

Ah I see! That is definitely an odd occurrence when adding your inventory.

 

I am going to recommend contacting out Hardware Team directly. so they can provide more account specific troubleshooting and resolution to this inventory issue that's occurring.
