Google Pixel Pro 9

Hello,

I have a Google Pixel 9 Pro. It has been working fine for almost a year now, but suddenly tap to pay is not working. I verify my NFC is working but using it to buy something at a store, I then went into the Amex app, and used the option to "verify a card" which has you tap your Amex card to the back of your phone to make sure it's valid, and that works right away. So I know my NFC is functional.... I ensured developer options were disabled, I reinstalled the app, I ensured android was up to date (16) and I restarted my Pixel a bunch of times. 

Is there anything else I can do?

Have you tried clearing the cache/storage from google play services along with the square app again?  Also try disabling and re-enabling nfc payments and see if that works.

I just tried this and it sadly did not work. I have a ticket open now because square couldn't figure it out either. 😞

Bummer, sorry to hear that.  This is actually the 2nd post in 10 days with a Pixel phone that I've seen having issues. (I have the 8pro and 6) no issues here, but Google also likes to break things with updates as well.

I have a the Pro Fold 9, and I was told that is not on the compatibility list so there is nothing they can do to fix it (Which is weird because it was working for almost a full year). The chase POS app also does not work with tap to pay on android but they offered a external card reader that will work for $100 so I just ordered that instead.
