Google Authenticator Issue

I cannot get Google Authenticator to work. I can still log in using just my username and password.

Can you explain a bit more as what you're trying to do with Google Authenticator, that may be helpful for others here to understand your goal.   For example, are you trying to use this with Square or a particular website ?

Sorry, I'm a newbie.  I assumed that I was in a "Square Community" and that it would be obvious that I was talking about Square®.

So, I am currently using Google Authenticator on two sites, my bank, and Square®.  When I enter my login for my bank account I then need to go to the Google Authenticator and put in the code to gain access.

I also set it up with Square®. However when I log onto Square® and am able to still get access using my username and password.  It does not not ask me for the Authenticator code.

And yes, I did set it up in Square®, and Square® is also listed in my Google Authenticator.  it just does not work.

If you would like to add a second layer of security to your Square account you can do so by enabling two-step verification via your Square Online Dashboard. Two-step verification is a tool that provides an extra layer of security for your Square Account, protecting your account from unauthorized access. Please find more details on how to enable this feature here. 

When it comes to Google authentication, you will need to consult with Google directly if you can enable this feature with a website like Square. However, we haven't heard of this being possible on our website or app as of yet. If you are successfully able to get this to work, please let us know.

So I guess my question then would be that if Square® is not configured to work with Google Authenticator, why would Square® off it as an option?
