Google/Apple Pay Override delivery address

In the Weebly store, we're finding that if a customer uses Google Pay or Apple Pay to checkout, the stored information from that service overwrites the delivery address that the customer has entered.  This has led to things like a delivery being "routed" to Manhattan when our customer is actually here in Seattle.  Is there a fix for this short of disabling Apple/Google Pay?

Hi @FBCSeattle. Sorry about the confusion this causes. What your customers are seeing is normal.

But there should be a dropdown in both Apple and Google Pay that allows your customers to add or choose a different address other than the one that's saved on file with their Apple/Google Pay profile.

It looks like that function is specific to Apple/Google Pay, so unfortunately there's not a setting we have available to prevent that from happening. I'm really sorry about that.

Thanks for the response, @nika. Are you referring to changing that address at time of payment/checkout or within the customer's Google/Apple Pay account?

The feedback that we've been getting from our customers is that both services autofilled addresses during the checkout process without prompting, and they weren't able to go back and correct them.  Is that something you might be able to control in the mobile site?  It's not a huge issue for our business, but it's an inconvenience to not be able to accept those payment services.

@FBCSeattle Sorry I wasn't too clear- the address change needs to be made within Apple/Google pay itself, not on the checkout page. So unfortunately it wouldn't be able to be changed on the mobile site. The customers have to do it through Apple/Google pay.

I definitely can see how this is an inconvenience, and I'm really glad you brought it up. It's good feedback to share with our Product team so that they're aware of the pain points.

Please let us know if there's anything else that comes up.

I'm about to completely disable Google Pay from my store. I have a constant stream of requests from gpay users who submitted their order with the wrong address because they have moved since the last time they used Google Pay.

Since square doesn't offer them a way to edit their own address after they discover the mistake, they email me. Some don't realize it's wrong until after they receive their shipping notification.

I mentioned this to a friend of mine who uses Android and they made a comment that they know their Google Pay address is outdated, but they haven't been able to figure out how to update it.

I understand your frustration as a Google Pay user who moved 3 months ago, @paulwieland! When Google Pay or Apple Pay is selected as a payment method, the shipping address will be automatically populated via what's on file via that payment service. This is the same experience for Apple / Google Pay on all websites from my experience. I was able to edit my address via this guide
