We are a small, volunteer run, High School concession stand. We're just getting started with Square - we have a number of volunteers coming in to the stand to work and I don't really want to or see the need for creating an individual team member for each volunteer cashier. I also don't really want to hand out my login information to everybody.
Can I make a single, generic user with restricted access? My ideal would be to have a QR code with this login information and have up to three volunteers logged in at a time. Would this work?
Hey there @Jstlandau. As long as you don’t need to track sales by team member, just create one team member with a code. You can restrict what people using that code can do or say from your online dashboard > Team > Permissions.
Forget the QR code thing, however. It doesn’t exist. Just give the team member code to whoever needs it. There can be multiple devices/POS app signed into the same code at one time — no restrictions.
