I have free digital products that I want to offer. But if I add a product with £0, it doesn’t allow me to add them. 

how can I do this?

Thanks for writing in to raise this issue with us.

Out of curiosity, I tried creating a digital item for my site without assigning a price. I was able to publish these updates and view the item on my live site.

I'm curious about your experience with this. When you attempt to create an item without a price, do you encounter any issues? If you manage to save it, is the problem that the item doesn't appear on your Square Online site?

That's strange - when I tried from my phone it said I needed to add a price, but from my computer it worked!

The only problem now is that t says the products have to be delivered manually?

Customers wont like this - they want their free digitial products instantly. The shop solution I'm currently using (but want to move from) sends a download link in the order confirmation email so it's all automated.

As the products are free, I can't spend lots of time emailing links to people - it's too time consuming.

is it on the roadmap to add automated digital product links?

Unfortunately it's a dealbreaker for my shop as I have a lot of free products that ned to be automatically fulfilled.

I guess it could be possible to do with Zapier when an email comes through - but

Glad to hear you were able to make the item available. 

Your question on automated download links has come up recently, and unfortunately our product development team have confirmed that automated digital file downloads post-purchase are not on our near term roadmap.

For now, email automation through a 3rd party integration would be the best solution. If anything changes on that, we’ll aim to update this thread if it’s not announced on the product updates board.
