Finding app fee sources, missing deposits

Free users of my WordPress plugin Sunshine Photo Cart have a 5% app fee added to all transactions. For a while I was getting < $5/day which seemed reasonable. Then for most of this year it all dried up entirely. Out of nowhere this past week, I started getting $30, $40, and $50 daily deposits from app fees.

This all feels suspicious. I feel like Square was not properly giving me the fees for this year until it suddenly fixed a bug recently and it started back up again.

Is it possible for someone to investigate this possible issue?

Also, how do I track down which sites/stores using my WordPress plugin these fees are coming from?

To be clear, I am the developer of the plugin Sunshine Photo Cart and not selling anything using Square.

I am not convinced this is an issue of users disconnecting from my software and then almost overnight a ton of them reconnected and generating sales with app fees.

Nothing you described is available to me to find which stores are connected using my OAuth and resulting in app fees being paid to me.

I have an activity report which shows the fees being transferred to my bank account: https://share.cleanshot.com/1KdTxj3v
And no transactions: https://share.cleanshot.com/VfjR0GRH

It looks like your plugin is now receiving delayed payments from Square. The sudden increase likely means old transactions were reprocessed after a sync or reporting fix. To find which stores the fees come from, check your Square Developer Dashboard under Transactions → Application Fees. Each record will show the merchant or location ID. You can also use the Square API’s “list_application_fees” endpoint to see which connected sites generated each payout.
