Feedback on setting up services

If you're setting up a service business, you have to do things in the right order to avoid frustration... I did the following, which appears to be exactly wrong:

 

  1. Setup square payments, and created some items
  2. Set up a square website, and then realised that on the Items list for the website Items have a type, which can be product or service, so I edited them one by one to become services
  3. Set up square appointments... holy crap the service is a different thing again. Gah.

Don't be like me! 🙂

If you are setting up a service based business where you want to take bookings online, it is easier to setup your Services through the Square Online Dashboard under Appointments.

 

Once you have all your Services and Appointment settings in place then you can link that to a Square Online Site.
