Feature Request - Buskers solution please???

I come in peace so please bear with my soft rant. I am based in Australia. I am doing some research about this and the only thread I found was an old one here where Square officialls implied there were no plans to do this. This is so short sighted IMHO and I shall explain fully below. This feature request has been made before without resolution so I am revisiting for future people in my situation.

So - I have a Square reader. I have a phone I want to process the transactions. I am a busker and would like to take payments while I perform without having to interact with the phone. I have heard of the Quest Donation Point but it costs $800.

Now here is what is silly. I actually have seen a working solution whereby a young lady uses her tablet, some third party software called 'Tipper' for Android and a square terminal as well. It seems it is integrated with Busk.co somehow and they take a 7 percent cut! So the third party aspect of it is supplementary and when you add the Square fees and also the app developers fees it is a grand total of 10 % of gross. That is daylight robbery if you ask me. Seems to me that this should be something that Square is Championing IMHO. What is silly is that basically Square are the power behind the whole transaction! They literally make the transaction happen and they get 1.9 percent or whatever depending on when you signed up. The third party software gets 7-unbelievable-percent. 7 %!!!!  For what exactly? Allowing someone to tap twice and walk on? So you mean Square with all their tech staff cannot code a better integrated solution and charge a higher percentage for the privilege? I would gladly pay even a 5 percent fee of donations and tips if Square integrated this into their own software.

How hard can it be to allow 4 preset amounts attached to prominent buttons that when pressed asks the customer to TAP that amount. Two things to do for a busy person with zero interaction from the busker. Imagine I were busking in a busy metro area in Sydney - folk are rushing to and fro and don't have time to waste qith QR codes folks. One Tap two tap done!

I was in the underground in London and saw something similar to this and wondered why Australia and indeed Square are so behind in this regard. A few lines of code and musicians across the country will rejoice and more income fees will come the way of the company. Does no one at headquarters want the extra cash for a few of lines of code?
