How to set up QR Codes for Payment and Donations

I am new to using Square. We are a small non profit and would like to use a QR code to accept payments at our annual book sale and future donations. I don’t know how to accomplish this. I am not very technically savvy and would appreciate step by step instructions. Thanks

Ultimately where do you want this donation to go? Do you have a square bank account, PayPal, etc? 

We could walk you through creating a QR code via Canva but aren’t sure where you are wanting this QR Code to send people or where it would be visible.

I wanted to share these instructions for setting up QR code payments for your business. If this isn't exactly what you're looking for, please let me know, and I can make further suggestions.

Hey there, @emach! Violet gave you a link on how to setup QR codes, which is fairly good info. BUT...just make sure you understand the fees associated with those types of setups. Square pushes the Payment Links (formerly known as Checkout Links) because it garners Square more money, while taking more from you.

@emach for transparency, Square QR codes are free for businesses to use. We don't charge monthly fees. You only pay a processing rate of 2.9% + 30¢, per transaction, when you make a sale via QR code.

The fees are 3.3% and $.30/transaction when the QR code is attached to a Payment Link. The only way to get the 2.9% is if you pay for the 3rd tier or higher subscription.
