Exiting zoomed in image

Hello.

 

I was just informed of an issue. I was told by a friend browsing my square website that there's an issue with zooming in. When they click an image of a product and it takes them to the zoomed in image there is no way to exit the window. There are left and right arrows to go back and forth between images. But there is no "x" button to exit. The only way is to click the back button, which goes back to the main page where they have to scroll back to the item and click on it again to view it. This is not the way it should be. It didn't used to be like this.

 

Any ideas why this has changed?

Hi Ericlivesay,

 

I'm seeing the same behavior with my site - no way to exit the Zoom mode other than clicking the return button.

I also need a fix for this asap. I get quite a bit of traffic & this looks bad on us.

Hello, @BestWoodPro  I escalated this over to ur Advance Support team and they have identified this as a known issue for websites using a dark theme. They are working on resolving it and will let me know when this is addressed. In the meantime, they have let me know that Customers can press the "Esc" to exit the Light Box.

I'm a website designer that works for Square Online sellers and I have a Square Online store for my own products and services. 

 

I can see the close out icon "X" on my website zoomed image page, lower left.

I believe this is because the color palette for this page is set to a color combination that reveals the "X" with black text.

@BestWoodPro when I view one of your live zoomed image pages the "X" is not visible (love your product line).

When I look at your color palette on the zoomed image page, text is set to white.

When I test your page offline with "red" text, your "X" appears.

My dilemma – one of my clients observed that the placement of the "X" in the lower left is unexpected.

Is it possible to move the "X" position to the upper right?

 

Any helpful feedback or guidance is appreciated!
