Email Marketing: How can I send an email to customers that have subscribed my campaign?

Hi , I have created an email pop up to collect emails which has been working it seems. However, i have also had to manually add  some customers in my directory after as they have placed orders with my direct rather than my website. When face- face with these customers I have received their verbal confirmation to opt in to marketing and email sign up and therefore i have simply ticked the box in their customer profile manually .

I have since this decided to give the Marketing Free Trial a go and thought i would see how thing would go by sending a campaign to say thanks to my subscribed customers ( which of course are a mix of both web pop up email collect subscribed and also manually opted in) however when i select my audience for the campaign it won’t allow me to send to all those subscribed only those that have been collected via the pop up.

I’ve been scratching my head for days now trying to work out

how can i send all customers that have subscribed the campaign? i’m wanting to see how this works so i can decide if i will cancel at the end of the free trial or pay for the integrated marketing subscription

thanks Kate

thanks

Hi there @KreativeK8s,

You've raised a great question here and I'll be happy to provide some more information regarding this process.

Square considers a subscribed customer someone that has provided explicit consent to receive marketing emails from your business. Usually, consent is provided in the form of an online agreement (e.g. subscription form), or in written form. These guidelines are in line with Australian Consumer Law and ensure you're supported when sending marketing material to your customers who have expressed interest in receiving these communications from you.

If your customers have already provided consent to receive marketing communications from you, you will need to manually update their subscription status using the customer import tool.

Additionally, you can create a QR code for in-person interest that will enable your customer to subscribe instantly, updating their subscription status in your customer directory.

Once you've completed these steps, you will see these addresses appear when selecting an audience for your marketing campaign.

Do let me know how you go with these steps and if you have any further questions here!

This is a great question and I'm happy to confirm the coupon expiry is not impacted by the ending of your free Square Marketing trial. 😊

Thanks for this information. This has worked and I managed to create my first coupon using the marketing tool.

With regards to the free marketing trial will their coupon still work to use after the free trial ends?

As this was one thing I completely forgot to check and my free trial ends in 15 days and I have set a 3 month Validity date on the coupon..

thanks
