Duplicate empty category

Hi all,

I appear to have two categories on my site called clothing, one is the category with the items in the other takes me to a 404 error page some time and other times takes me to the items in the category.

I have been trying to find how to delete the empty category but it doe not show up in the edit categories list, the only place it shoes up other than on the live site is in the rearrange categories list.

From here it wont let me move, hide or delete it, it just stays on the spinning round loading icon.

 

Any ideas how i can get rid of the empty category?

I did just have a look on your website using the link you provided above and could see the Clothing and Equipment categories. I don't see any duplicates, however. Is the duplicate category and error 404 message still appearing on your side? 

 

If so, to delete a category:

  1. Go to your Square Online Overview page.
  2. Click on Items > Site Categories.
  3. On the categories listed on this page, hover over the one you'd like to delete.
  4. Click on the three dots to the right of the category. 
  5. Click Delete

If the above doesn't work, it could be an issue with your browser. If this is the case, we recommend the following troubleshooting steps.

 

  1. Make sure that your browser is up to date. Here are instructions for how to do so for our supported desktop browsers: Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari.
  2. Clear the cache on your browser. Instructions for clearing your cache will vary depending on your browser. Accessing the Help menu on your browser should allow you to locate step-by-step instructions.
  3. Switch to a different browser: Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox. Double-check that you are running the most up-to-date version of these browsers.
