Donations: Out of Stock & Unavailable

UPDATE: fixed by square support. There was a system glitch that wouldn't allow donations to have no shipping fulfillment or a no dollars amount item. 

I have tried adding a Donation item to my website but I keep getting "out of stock" error on the website. 

I've added and deleted and re-added the item almost a dozen times. Donations don't have stock! On the item details page, there isn't even an option to address stock. 

Please help! What am I doing wrong?

I followed those steps to a T and that is where the issue with "out of stock" began. 

I found a workaround by adding stock of 100 for each, added shipping for fulfillment, and removing the custom amount. 

I don't like it but I'm hoping it is temporary until someone can help me figure out the exact problem.

I just took a look at the item, and it looks like it's currently working as expected. I don't see any stock quantities or fulfillment settings on it. 

I wanted to confirm if you had successfully addressed the situation or if you're still facing this issue on your end (I was not able to replicate an error on mine).

reset the Item page. "donation" is out of stock for every amount selected on the website. Please explain why it is showing "out of stock" when donations CAN'T HAVE STOCK!

Got a smart person with square chat support. There was a complete glitch on the backend that took them 2 hours to fix. But they got it fixed.

I called about this in 2022 and they said they were "working on it". We now really need to use square for this purpose and I hoped it was fixed, but nope. Just set up donations for our nonprofit but all the items are out of stock. It is a donation, why does it have stock? I did figure out that while the Desktop version doesn't show an option for inventory, the App does show inventory and unless there is something put in there, it will continue to show out of stock EXCEPT for the custom amount, which won't work with or without an inventory total.

The worst part is I'm getting the run around from support because they keep emailing me saying they can't find my account so they can't help me when I am an account admin emailing from my work email and even sending them screenshots of each step of the problem I've encountered.

I am having the same issue -- on our site, custom donations are ONLY showing up as Out of Stock.  Also, weirdly, the donation amounts that I did enter are not recognizing the decimal place for ordering, so it's showing up as $10, $100, $20, $5, $50 which is going to make no sense to our donors.  Help please!
