Does anyone know why Apple Pay is not working on my website?

I have switched on apple pay on my website but for some reason its' not working. Anyone have the same issue? If yes, how do I get it?

Hi @portolacoffee, thanks for your post! This is actually an expected behaviour with Apple Pay. The ability to use Apple Pay is limited to Apple products which is why customers will only see it as an option when accessing a site through Safari. You can read more about Apple Pay compatibility here.

I am having the same issue as well - Apple Pay is enabled but not showing up on my website in safari, but it is coming up when sending a direct check out link. Could it be looked at?

Hello all to add my site studio36hair.com is also having issues with Apple/Google Pay.

At checkout both the Apple/Google Pay options are there but on item pages it doesn't show despite having the option button clicked in Settings.

Could someone please take a look?

Hey @STEEZYSFLAVOURS, apology for the delayed here! The team have let me know they have been able to resolve the Apple Pay issue on your site. Once accepting order online is enabled again, you should see the option for Apple Pay when checking out via Safari. 

Hi @f-b, I've checked your site and I was able to see the Apple Pay option on the item page and also at checkout. Would you mind testing this again for me and letting me know if you are able to see it as well?

Hi @tranguyen - thanks for looking. Still not coming up as an option for me in Safari on an Iphone running iOS 14.4. Have tried re-starting the phone, but that hasn't helped. Apple Pay is coming up as an option on the direct checkout link still but not on full website.

Thanks for letting me know @f-b! As I'm unable to reproduce this on my end, would you mind sending me a screenshot showing Apple Pay is not visible and let me know the exact version of your Safari browser? You should be able to check the browser version here.

Using Safari 14 on an Iphone.

Hey @Luizgonsales, @Benyboy567 and @f-b, thank you so much for all the screenshot and the additional information! I've passed it along to the ECOM team so they can help to resolve this.

For context, although everything might be setup correctly, sometimes domains still need to be verify for Apple Pay. This is something our ECOM team would need to do on our end. Once we can confirm the domain is verified and Apple Pay is working, I'll follow up with everyone on the thread!

Hi @tranguyen thanks for taking a look - I agree Apple Pay is shown on the checkout page but it is not appearing on the item page only the Add to Cart button?

Thanks for the link @Luizgonsales, I check it on my end and I was able to see the Apple Pay button on my end here. Would you mind checking this for me again and let me know if it's appearing on your end too? 

Hey @s36, thanks for flagging that! I had a further look into this on my end and it looks like it's a little quirk of the system. If an item doesn't have a variation, only the Add to Cart button will be available. I'm not clear on the way but I've reached out to our ECOM specialists to get some further clarification and will report back once I hear more from them.

Sorry about this @Luizgonsales! I've tested again with the same item and the Apple Pay should be there. Just to check, can you make sure that your iOS and Safari are both up to date, and Apple Pay is setup on the device as well?

Hi @tranguyen , having the exact same problem on my online store. Have just set it up today and everything looks fine, except can’t see Apple Pay, only Google pay. Would love your help to understand what the problem may be!

Hey @bbaker, @Luizgonsales, @Benyboy567 and @f-b, thanks for your patience while our team work on this! I can confirm that Apple Pay should now appear on all sites as normal. I've double-checked this on my end and it's definitely coming up for me as well.
