Do I have to have my tablet hooked up to cellular in order to work the reader?

Looking at IPADs to run the POS.  Will this IPAD need to also have wifi and cellular enabled for it to run the square?

@therusticlens Yes you do need to have wifi or cellular enabled to process payments with Square. This article has more information about data plans to use with Square.

There is a feature called Offline Mode that you can use to accept payments if you're internet is temporarily unavailable. But keep in mind, with that feature you must connect your device to wifi/celluar within 72 hours to upload payments to Square. I recommend reading this Support Center article about Offline Mode before considering this option.
