I know there is threads that show how to discount specific items and categories and I've gone ahead and set this up and thought, this is it! It's done. Hooray.
...But when i tested it, I added items that are ok to be discounted and then items that are not, into the same sale thinking that when i applied the discount, it would work on the items I have set it to. BUT it actually doesn't allow me to even apply the discount at all (It shows as light grey wording and cant be selected).
This is not helpful at all.
For example. Our wine club members and industry crew get discounted wine. They don't get a discount on merch, tasting fees, or the initial wine club sign up fee so when all these items are in the same sale, I thought I could select 'wine club discount' or 'industry discount' and it would apply that discount to the wines only, but it doesn't even allow me to select those discounts options. They show as a lighter grey and can't be selected.
I know my team can discount each wine line item individually and then not discount the other items but there has been many errors when they just discount the whole sale and we loose money.
Have I set them up incorrectly?
