Could someone please clarify. When an order is placed from my online shop, is a digital receipt sent to the customer? The reason I ask is because I have found that I need to send a manual receipt to a new customer before I am able to message them. Thanks

When an order is placed on your website, we only send an order confirmation email and not a digital receipt. However, at checkout, customers should have the option to opt in to receiving marketing emails from yourself as well. If the customers have select yes, you should be able to message them.
Are you finding yourself needing to send a manual receipt even though the customer has opt in?
Thanks @tranguyen I think the terminology is the problem. The term Marketing probably makes people think they will get bombarded with emails. A change to something like ‘Allow communications from Seller’ would be more appropriate.
