Dashboard shows customer viewed invoice but says they did not...is that possible?

I have a customer who says they did not see the invoice emailed to them. But dashboard shows invoice email was viewed two days ago and invoice viewed today. They swear they did not get the invoice. Their email address on the invoice is correct. I triple-checked. I ended up sending them a link to the invoice for them to pay. 

 

Has this ever happen to anyone else?

Do you know if anyone else has to the email address besides the person that contacted you? Or if they accidentally open it accidentally on another device? 

 

Did the customer have any other issues opening the second invoice you sent?
