Custom Attributes

Ok I have read many threads about custom attributes.  as shown below there is no way to add any attributes to the site items section as explained   here https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/7168-create-and-manage-custom-attributes

Here is what you get from the item library but as shown above not available in the online shop items.

Another observation is it seems they are trying to charge us for every little option that is free on most ecommerce sites. Good grief the goal should be to make more money on the sale transactions so make it is easy for clients to list their items and valorize them to the max. Seems like another broken business model in my opinion.

Really a pointless double entry crap that doesn't work. You should be able to modify item and attributes should carry over to the online section but they don't.

HI, what option are they charging for?  The Square Free Plan does offer all features for a full ecommerce site.  If you are wanting a domain, then a paid plan is required.  You can review what is included here.

What are you trying to accomplish with the Custom Attribute?  Pulling individual purchase from a box of 4? The Square platform will not.  (Yes, I reviewed the Square Support page, it is not an option.  Yes, it has been requested to Square.)   To add Stock, click the -- in the Stock column for popup to add.

Hope this helps.

I was wanting to attributes to show weight and how many were in each package, Part Numbers. but they don't show up on your online side. So alot of work for nothing to figure that out. Then I paid for a subscription to have my domain etc only to find out I can't link my fedex or UPS account unless I pay another crazy price.

So no, The Square Free Plan does not offer all features for a full ecommerce site, only your 300$ a month deal does. Who the hell in this market can offer free shipping. What is crazy, is I have figured out that Shopify is cheaper in transactions fees and at least gives you live shipping quotes with DHL and UPS on all their plans.

Plus I didn't mention anything about stock.

I have paid already so I have removed the store  because it is pointless and over paid hosting for a simple site with basic features and all that so I could run my business transactions directly through square. Only way to set up a site to get quotes is to add pages and quote forms but and then I can just use my bank for transactions.

Too bad because I was going to use your service for everything and  now I might not use it at all.
