Hi! I've read the post on how to setup an online coupon, and done that. We sell services, not items. But no matter what I do, I cannot get the coupon to apply, or for a spot for the customer to type it in at check out. Ive had to refund the 10% back to customers.
How do I make this work so I don't have upset customers who are suppose to get 10% discounts?
I've also tried sharing the coupon link directly, and it still won't apply at checkout.
@6SMD I’m checking out a couple of things. I don’t believe that coupons can be used for services right now. Only products. I’ll follow up shortly.
@6SMD Sorry about that. Needed to do a little research to confirm my suspicions. Here is a link to a rather lengthy 2020 discussion about coupons and services. https://www.sellercommunity.com/t5/Read-only-archive-Square/Square-Appointments-Can-my-customers-use...
At that time what you are trying to do was not possible. The thread was closed, and I can not find any other thread, nor any Square help article, that would lead me to believe that this has changed. You can submit a feature request here, of course — https://www.sellercommunity.com/t5/Feature-Requests/ct-p/Beta-Feature-Requests
I also looked in the list of current beta tests for upcoming features, and did not see anything that seemed to touch on your subject.
Sorry that I could not give you any better news.
Thank you for the feedback! I appreciate at least having that clarity. I'm finding Square Online to be a bit of a mess, at least for services.
