Cookies Banner Problem - Text Constantly Showing

All of a sudden our website has started consistently showing 'Update Cookies Preferences text' in the top of every page👎

I contacted Weebly weeks ago, they suggested publishing from different devices, making sure I was on the latest OS etc...which I did, but any way we do it, the problem is still there.

I now haven't heard from Weebly for weeks (totally ghosting me), anyone else having the same issues? I've found older threads where Weebly seems to have got involved and resolved the issue, but I'm not having the same experience.

Thanks all😊

Thanks for your patience @EmilyKay

Our team let me know that this appears to be an intended part of the cookie banner that you have selected.

The 'Update Preferences' option is intended to remain visible so that customers can update their preferences at any time while visiting the site.

That specific text can be found within the site editor under Settings > General > Cookie Banner. It's notated as such:

"<!-- Below is the link that users can use to open Preferences Center to change their preferences. Do not modify the ID parameter. Place it where appropriate, style it as needed. --><a href="#" id="open_preferences_center">Update cookies preferences</a>"

They confirmed that we cannot take any action here as it's an intentional function of the cookie banner that you have selected.

I do apologise that it took so long for us to get back to you on this and I have flagged your ongoing case with our support team for review.

For next steps regarding the display of the banner, you'll need to contact TermsFeed directly.

I hope this helps.

Hi @EmilyKay, thanks for flagging this and sorry to hear that you're having some trouble.

I can take a look into this - can you share a link to your site here?
