I am a Squarespace customer. I have been selling in public for a few years now using Square integrated with Squarespace. This weekend my reader would not accept contactless or chip cards. I had to enter the cards manually. I deleted and reinstalled both the Square app and Squarespace app. Blue Tooth shows square as connected. All permissions are turned on in the Squarespace app. On the Square app it reads that Contactless and Chip are ready. But when I ring up the customer it tells me to connect a reader. Keeping in mind that it lets me charge cards manually.

Perhaps Square's Tech Support has an answer - just curious, do you have an internet connection at the location where you're selling ?

I would recommend disconnecting your Contactless + Chip Reader and then reconnecting to your Square app. Click here to view some troubleshooting steps to help you get back to taking payments.
