My square system charged a client today $2500 as an annual fee then when I refunded it it went to a different card number.. I think I’ve been hacked has anyone had this happen

I am not familiar with an annual fee for using Square, as we do not have annual fee for processing. Since this is account specific and here on the Square Community we have limited support abilities, I would recommend reaching out to our Customer Success team and they can look into this further for you. You can contact them at 1800 760 137. They are available from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, Melbourne time.
Maybe some other sellers can weigh in on this if they have had any other similar experiences, but this does sound a bit unusual.
