Card surcharge not applying

Hi there!

Ive just recently set up a booking site and whilst im aware the card surcharge feature is a new feature and still in BETA, i was wondering if this is something that could be resolved or not.

Ive discovered that when clients are booking online there’s no surcharge being applied when they pay their deposit (no big deal) however, when they’re paying their remaining amount in person (i’m a nail tech) the surcharge isn’t applying then either. the surcharge seems to only auto apply to bookings i manually make.

is there a way to resolve this or is it still a WIP?

@studiofae A couple of questions.  Did the possibly pay the deposit with a valid CREDIT card that is able to be surcharged?  And then paid the balance with a debit card, which can't be surcharged?  Or a gift Mastercard/Visa/Amex which also can't?  As far as I can tell from the documentation, its the card type and network rule that determine whether surcharges apply or not.

Ok.  I just wanted to be sure.  I'm going to tag the Square moderators.  They can touch base with the product team.
