Hello
So I had an active square account and it because in-active Im guessing to lack of use? the card reader dosent get used all that often. And as square shut at 5 and are only open on weekdays, this is turhing into a situation where I will not be wanting to use square moving forward
Fast forward to yesterday and now this morning and I am trying to enter my business address and it keeps failing with the increadabley helpfull message popup "something went wrong".
I have tried -
- Firefox, Waterfox, Chromium, Chrome, Edge, Samsung web browsers and cleared their cache.
- different variations of the address
Nothing works, so can I politely ask WTF is wrong with this bloody website..?
thanks.
Hi @glmag, thanks for your post and welcome to the Seller Community.
Apologies for the delayed response.
I'm not sure I fully understand what may have happened here, a Square account cannot become inactive due to a lack of use.
Is there any chance you accidentally created a new account? This message sounds like you haven't fully activated your account to take payments by adding your bank details. I'd suggest checking your email accounts to confirm which email or emails you have used for Square.
If you are still having trouble, please give our support team a call directly on 0800 - 098 8008, 9AM- 5PM, Mon-Fri, as they have access to your account which we don't have here.
Hopefully, we can get this solved ASAP!
Evening
So after a bit of back and forth of Square not nowing WTF had happened, it turns out that my account is a legacy account. This in turns has "somehow" effected what dashboard I see...???? Which would explain why everything is broken.
So now I have to create a new accoutn from scratch, which is a right pain in the arse as I need it to be active before 9am this Saturday!
And yes I figured the lack of used made the account go dormant, there has got to be a way of extening this time imit..
Ah, thank you for clarifying it was Weebly legacy @glmag.
Sorry to hear this, let us know if there's anything we can do to help with the set up process.
